Colorado’s only American Expeditionary Forces Ace during World War I, Jerry was officially credited with 6 victories between July 16 and October 6, 1918. He was a Flight Commander in the 27th Aero Squadron of the First Pursuit Group.
Just before the end of the war, Jerry was made Commander of the 185th Aero Squadron, the first night pursuit squadron in the A.E.F.
